Lucille "Lulu" Spriggs

On December 2, 2023, Lucille "Lulu" Spriggs passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Lulu was born on March 9, 1940, in Gregory, Tx to parents Pablo and Lenore Benitez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, Debra Young and Myrtle Cox Montgomery, 2 sons Elvin Young and Paul Young also, 3 sisters Dian Evans, Margie Peed, and Viola Solis.

Lulu was a devoted Christian, loving Mother very charitable, honest, and a true problem solver. Lulu was very dedicated to her family, friends and community; she knew no stranger. Her doors were always open to everyone that needed help, or even just some kind words of encouragement to lift them up.

Lulu was also known as, "Momma Lulu" because she treated people like family, and she was so full of love. For over 50 years, she owned Lulu's Bail Bonds serving the coastal bend area. Lulu will be dearly missed by her family friends and community.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Edward (Tracy) Cox, Carlos (Dinora) Castillo, and Merry (Lee) Spriggs-Moreno, Brother, Pablo Ray Benitez, 4 Sisters Teresa Deisch, Virgina Martinez, Lavern Alvarado, and Mary B. Lopez; 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 3pm-8pm Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, December 8, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Pastor Mary Alvarez and Pastor Aaron Jayne interment to follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass Tx.
