Port Aransas, TX
Louis Martin Spinn Jr.
Louis M. Spinn Jr. passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday October 10, 2018.
Louis was born to Louis M. Spinn Sr. and Lula Mae (Thomas) Spinn in Houston, Texas on April 30, 1940.
He lived in Houston with his parents until completion of middle school at which time they relocated to Cleveland, TX, where he attended Cleveland High School. He went on to attend college to later on being employed by AT & T. He then went to work for Dictaphone Corporation in Houston, where he became District Service Manager and retired in 1996. Louis and his family purchased a home in Port Aransas in 1999 and became full time residents in early 2001. Louis was an avid NASCAR fan and attended races throughout the years as well as watching the weekend races on TV. He was a handy man around the house and could do most anything with ease. Everyone who knew him also knew that he was most happy to help others and lend a hand or one of his tools to a neighbor as well. He got a lot of joy out of helping others. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a kind and caring man-a one in a million husband, father, grandfather and friend. He also enjoyed cooking and made a mean BBQ sauce as well as some of the best biscuits in the Coastal Bend. You had to have more than one!!
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Louis Martin Spinn Sr. and Lula Mae Spinn.
Louis is survived by his wife, Gail Spinn of 39 years; his son, Louis "Marty" III (Alegra) Spinn; one grandson, Justin Hancock. His surviving family also includes Paul W. Davis, Darcy Tomaszewski , Don and Cynthia Frank, Shana Craine (Matt), Vivian Frank, Jamie Cameron
(Steve), Jordin Gargano, Sheldon Gargano, Justin and Selena Gargano, and Mason Gargano as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Victory Junction, founded by the Richard Petty family in honor of his grandson Adam whose dream it was to give children with serious illnesses and disabilities hope and encouragement. (victoryjunction.org)
