In Loving Memory of Leonard Allen Geissel
Leonard Allen Geissel, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on January 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was born on August 26, 1951, in Taft, CA, to proud parents Edward Geissel and Dolores James.
Leonard led a fulfilling life, touching the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He pursued his education, obtaining a bachelor’s degree, and went on to create a life filled with love and laughter.
On August 10, 1989, Leonard married the love of his life, Susan L. Spencer Geissel. They shared many beautiful memories together throughout their 34-year marriage. Leonard cherished every moment spent with his wife, always supporting, and caring for her.
Family meant the world to Leonard, and his legacy lives on through his devoted wife, Susan, and his children: Miranda Renee Geissel, Naomi Guerrero, Spencer Lee Cantu (Michaela Cantu) and extended daughter Jessica De La Garza (Sol De La Garza). He was a doting grandfather to Isabella Geissel Garcia (Noah Garcia), Leilani Nevaeh DeLeon, Matthew Cantu, Nathan Cantu, Jaxon Grace Garcia, and Andrea De La Garza. Leonard also had the joy of being a great-grandfather to Lincoln Garcia and Vaeda Grae Garcia. He shared a close bond with his brothers, Michael Geissel, Glenn James (Sheila James), and his sisters, Debra Geissel Gibbons (Jeffrey Gibbons) and Loris James, all from Bakersfield, California. Furthermore, Leonard leaves behind his stepfather Ward A. James.
Throughout his life, Leonard touched the lives of many with his kind heart and warm smile. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Leonard's life will be held on January 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm at The Lord is Peace Church located at 4730 Kostoryz Rd, Corpus Christi, TX. It will be a time of remembrance and reflection as we gather together to honor the memory of a remarkable individual.
In these difficult times, let us come together to celebrate Leonard's life and find solace in the memories we shared with him. His warm presence will forever be engraved in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to guide us.
May Leonard Allen Geissel rest in eternal peace.
