Kathryn Nielsen

Kathryn Ruth Nielsen, 68, passed away unexpectedly February 17, 2021 while traveling with her husband in Rockport, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was a giving and kind-hearted person, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed camping, especially in the Minocqua area, spending time with family, especially her two granddaughters, and playing with her rescue dog, Angus.

Kathy was born October 30, 1952 to Clifford and Elaine Lashua and raised in Boulder Junction, WI. She graduated from Lakeland High School in 1970, and later obtained an associate’s degree in interior design. She worked many years as an interior designer and most recently as a seamstress. She married her loving husband James in 1983 in Neenah, WI.

She is greatly missed by her husband James, son Michael (Elizabeth), granddaughters Claire & Eloise, sister Karen (Curt) Erdmann, brother and sister in-laws Dick & Rota Kallstrom, nieces and nephews Shawn (Roger) Kratz, Craig (Carol) Erdmann, Kim (George) Palmer, Valerie (Mitch) Adorjan, Chrissy (Jack) Capozzoli, Lyn (Andy) Hennessey.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elaine (1991) and Clifford (1980), sister Cheryl Christine Lashua (1947).

A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date
