Joseph Michael Costain
11/26/62- 04/30/21
Joseph Michael Costain was born November 26, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska to Audrey Mae Costain. Having lived in Nebraska, California, and Iowa, Aransas Pass, Texas was where he made his final home. While he made a lot of friends (and enemies) during his life span, Joseph’s heart belonged to his children, who he’d move mountains and cross oceans for.
Joseph was stubborn, sarcastic, and brilliant. He was a history buff who was always right, even when he wasn’t. A practical evil genius who could quote any movie and name any song from just one note. While he was a self-proclaimed “scrooge,” in actuality he was a huge softy who would sob watching any musical. Joseph loved to laugh, and wouldn’t settle until everyone else in the room was either laughing too, or glaring at him for his own uncontrollable booming laugh.
Joseph went home to meet his God on April 30th, 2021 after suffering from multiple infections, from which his heart couldn’t sustain. His daughter, Danielle, was at his side and played his favorite songs as he made his journey to heaven. He was preceeded in death by his son James Costain, his mother Audrey Costain, and his grandparents Joseph and Helen Swift.
Joseph is survived by his sons Kyle Magana and Jacob Costain, and by his daughter Danielle Costain- all of whom will carry his outspoken spirit with them forever.
