Jonnalyn Hawes, 92 passed away April 10, 2022. She was born March 13, 1930 in Pelly, Texas to Jack M. Keller and Lela Faye White Keller. She worked at Rockport Elementary School as a cook for 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William David Hawes; brother, Harry Merrit; sisters, Ida Faye Wright and Pearl Fay Gaskin.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, William David Hawes, Jr., Brenda Rodriguez both of Rockport, Carolyn Wirth of Manchaca; her twin sister, Jacquelynn Hawes of Rockport; grandchildren, Travis, Justin, Andrew, Clayton, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Darrien, Davey, Eli, Ian, Emilee; several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank the many friends and family who came to visit and pray for Jonnalyn during her final days. A heartfelt thanks to Devoted Hospice and many others who shared their love and support.
Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 with Funeral Service conducted by Pastor Scott Jones at 2:00p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 all at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Rockport. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery.
