John Toms, Jr.

John C. Toms, Jr., 84 passed away July 30, 2019 at his home in Rockport, Texas. Formally of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, he was born July 21, 1935 to John C. Toms, Sr. and Rhoda G. Toms Sheetz.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Bressler and his faithful companion, Pepe.

He leaves behind his wife Karen; his children, Cindy (Dennis), Tim (Della), Sue and Linda (Donny); 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 nieces, a nephew, cousins and friends.

John served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was an avid motorcyclist and a Lifetime Member of the Lebanon Valley Motorcycle Club. He retired from Reading Foundry and Supply Co. after 42 years, and he and his wife traveled the country before settling in Rockport.

A Commitment Ceremony will be held at Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania at a later date.
