John Hesseltine, Jr.

John David Hesseltine, Jr., 91 of Rockport, Texas passed away May 23, 2017. He was born May 31, 1925 in Woodsboro, Texas to John David Hesseltine, Sr. and Nora Isabelle Bushong Hesseltine. He proudly served in the US Army Air Force during WWII. He was the last surviving family member of his generation.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Erlene Frances Carr Hesseltine. He is survived by his son, John Mark Hesseltine (Cathy); daughters, Noralene Ballou (James), Paula Hill, Shirley Sorsby (Jim), Hope Rowe (Wendell); 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12noon-6:00p.m. with family present from 2p.m.-4p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 and Funeral service will begin at 2p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017 all at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Rockport. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery
