On Tuesday, April, 30, 2024, John Clark Cunningham, loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed into God’s graces at the age of 82.
John was born in Denver, Colorado on April 8, 1942, to Lloyd and Betty (Fraley) Cunningham. He served his country as a medic and paratrooper in the US Army. Soon after his service ended, he married his loving wife JoAnn (Hilzer) and they had two children. By profession he was a truck driver and he also served as the Union Steward. In 2004, John and his wife retired in Aransas Pass, Texas where he crafted beautiful pieces from wood and stained glass, bragged about the Broncos, told his family what to do, and acquired many cherished friends and memories.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife, brother, Larry Cunningham, and son, Danny Cunningham. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Rena, daughter, Connie, grandchildren Brittany, Kelsey, Tanner, and Austin, great-grandchildren Landan, Wyatt Carson, Harrison, and Grayson and his dog, Tiny.
To commemorate his life, a funeral will be held at 2pm on May 11, 2024 at Charlie Marshall Funeral home in Aransas Pass, Texas. A gathering will follow at the Buckhorn Saloon in Ingleside, Texas.
