John Camp

John David Camp was born on July 4, 1945 in Plainview, Hale County, Texas to Murl Colwell Camp and Robert Camp and passed peacefully after a long and determined fight with cancer on December 26 2016.

He started first grade at Canyon Texas, graduated 8th grade at Climax Springs, Missouri and WB Ray High School, Corpus Christi Texas.

He joined the US Navy in July 1963 where he went to Naval Submarine School and to Nuclear Power School. He served on the USS Annapolis, USS Bream and USS Nereus during the Vietnam War.

He was a licensed heating and air conditioning technician working in Missouri, and Texas and retired from St Mary's University in San Antonio.

He was preceded by his parents, survived by his caretaker sister, Bobbie Floyd and numerous widely scattered other relatives

Services will be private, with interment at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
