Joe Corpus

Joe Louis Corpus was born on March 19, 1942, in Rockport, Texas, and peacefully passed away to meet our Lord on December 12, 2024, at the age of 82.

 He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, parents, and his wife, Dini Corpus. Joe is also reunited in heaven with his brothers Pancho, Richard, Charlie, Chuy, Daniel, and his sisters Pepa, Sefia, Lydia, and Lupe.

Joe is survived by his loving brother and sisters: Vicente, Delores, and Alice, along with his daughters Patty (Troy Cady) and Rosie (Robert Alford), and his cherished grandchildren: Kimberly (Randy Fox), Andrew (Marianna Cady), Kristina (Ismael Gutierrez), and Josh Cady. His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren: Bryson, Henry, Maggie, George, Genevieve, and two more precious additions on the way.

Joe was an active outdoors man and provided unwavering support to his family and friends throughout the community. He was known for his kind heart, generosity, and the bright smile he brought to everyone’s face. His love and joy touched all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts. He was also cared for by Devoted Healthcare, and we will be forever greatful.

Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call: I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found my place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void. Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too shall miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow: I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my life seemed all too brief: Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free.- I’m Free
