Jesse “CoCo” Torres Sr.

Jesse “CoCo” Torres, Sr. (69) of Rockport, Texas was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on July 3rd, 2024. Born to Pedro and Petra (Longoria) Torres on December 21st, 1954. He was number 10 of 12 children. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his eldest brother Pedro Torres, Jr., his youngest brother Reyes Torres, Sr and sister Janie Valdez. 

His remaining siblings, Olivia, Amado, Adolfo, Jose, Viola, Mary, Rosa, Elena and all their families will miss their beloved brother dearly. 

He is survived by this loving wife, Dianna Torres of Rockport, Texas. Jesse had five children Joe Villa (Shelly); Velma Torres; Jesse Torres, Jr.(Jessica);Cynthia Torres; Patricia Torres(Ryan). Jesse also had 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

 Jesse loved music and spent most of his life playing in bands. He was inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame in 2016 as an elite Bass player. He loved sports and could regularly be spotted at high school sporting events.

An Evening of Remembrance will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 at 7:00pm. Services will be held on Thursday, July 11th, 2024, at 10 am. at Church Unlimited -Rockport.
