Jesse Meerscheidt

On Mar 19, 2020, Jesse James Meerscheidt, passed in his sleep at age 74. Born on Dec 8, 1945 in Laredo, TX, to Alexander Otto and Anna Lucille (Bledsoe) Meerscheidt, Jesse joined the US Navy in 1964 and retired from the US Postal Service in 2000. On Dec 13, 1965, he married Sheri Lynn Zimmermann of Waukesha, WI and had three sons. Both Jesse & Sheri had a passion for geocaching.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Jean, and grandson Brandon.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Jesse II of Daphne, AL, and Jeremy of Fredericksburg, VA, several cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

No services will be held at his request, but donations may be made to the Brandon Meerscheidt Scholarship at VA Tech College of Science (Chemistry), at https://give.vt.edu, in memoriam.
