Jerry Ziegler

Jerry Wayne Ziegler of Rockport Texas passed away February 1, 2017. He was born on Friday, August 13, 1948 in Rockville, Mo.

He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy; son, Jerry (Michelle) of Frisco, Texas; and two grandsons, Trevor and Chase Ziegler; brother, Glenn (Lynne) Ziegler of Wichita, Kansas, and sister, LaDona (Jerry) Arthur of Junction, Texas: and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Glada Ziegler; sisters, Neldean VanAuken, and Kay Williamson.

He served faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star metals.

Jerry and wife Nancy moved to Rockport from San Antonio in 1981, where he was employed by the Aransas County Independent School District as an electrician. He retired after 20 years of service.

Private family service will take place at a later date.
