Jeanette Leister

Jeanette Loy Leister passed away August 4, 2023 she was 81 years old. She was born November 24, 1941 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Royal Van Grumbles and Mary Lee Grumbles.

She enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, and spending time with her cherished grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 4 grandchildren, David Karlson, Kimberly Hudson, Derrick Leister, and Edward Polasek, Jr.; sisters, Towanda Whitton and Teressa Brightwell; brothers, Van Lee and Virgil Leroy Grumbles.

She is survived by loving husband of almost 64 years, Marvin Leister of Aransas Pass; sons, Thomas (Donna) Leister of Aransas Pass, and Timothy (Karen) Leister of Corpus Christi; daughters, Charlene (Joe) Lewis of Aransas Pass, Mary "Cathy" (Edward) Polasek of Ingleside, Carolyn (Mark) Kimmel of Edgewood, New Mexico, and Lynette Kay Melton of Ingleside, Texas; brothers, Curtis (Sherry) Grumbles of Pearland, Texas, and Bobby (Sharon) Grumbles of Port Aransas, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00 am until service time of 11:00 am at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.

Burial to be private.

Honorable pallbearers are T. J. Leister, Matthew Melton, Timmie Payne, Jim Kimmel, Phillip Berry, Marvin Leister, Tristan Leister, Jimmy Leister, Trevor Pancoast, and Brett Pancoast.
