Jean Hinton Herring

Jean Hinton Herring of Rockport, TX passed away on May 25, 2019, at Gulf Pointe Plaza Nursing  Home after a short illness.

Jean grew up in Corpus Christi, TX and attended Incarnate Word Academy and Miller High  School before moving to Rockport to complete her junior and senior years at Rockport High School from which she graduated in May 1948.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Bonnie Hinton of Rockport.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, of 70 years, as well as her three children Lydia Baugh (Jim) of Houston, Barbie Waters of Rockport, and Greg Herring of Ft. Worth; her grandchildren Jason Baugh, Jackson Baugh (Tara) and Amy McIntosh of Austin, Christopher and Nicholas Herring of Ft. Worth, and Jeanna Wright (Nathan) of Belton; and her great-grandchildren, Nika Baugh and Taylor McIntosh of Austin.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to her physician Dr. E. Stan Haun, Gulf Pointe  Plaza and Harbor Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness to Jean, as well as to her family.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Jean's life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church located at 555 Enterprise Blvd. Rockport, TX 78382, a Reception will follow immediately after her service in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Harbor Hospice Gulf Coast are requested.
