Rockport

Jasper Donald Pollock aged 90, flew back to his heavenly home on June 29th, 2019.
Jasper was born on June 14th, 1929 in Dierks, Arkansas and was the first child born to Hazel and Claude Pollock.
Jasper was preceded in death by his younger brother Kenneth Lee Pollock in 1987.
He is survived by his wife Misae N. Pollock and his baby sister Velma Aileen Pollock.
Jasper enlisted in the Air Force in 1948 as an aircraft mechanic and also served in the United States Army as a Flight instructor during the Vietnam war.
While teaching in Japan he met and married Misae and they were happily married for 58 years.
Jasper had a great love of life and music and all things on earth that God created for us to enjoy. He spent most of his life studying the scriptures and doing his best to enjoy life.
Jasper was a composer an author and a poet primarily focusing on God and scriptures and all things about spreading the message of love.
Jasper had a great appreciation of animals and children, always taking time to feed the strays and really listen to what the little ones had to say. He was a most gentle person and never carried anger.
He had a knack for noticing and appreciating the smallest things in nature like the tiny acorns, a feather on the ground or the feeling of sunshine on his cheek.
Jasper was a truly unique man and his wife, family and innumerable friends will miss him greatly.
The entire Pollock family wishes for the nurses and staff at Gulf Pointe Plaza to please know how thankful and grateful we are for the loving attention and care you all showed to our Jasper. He grew to love you all so very much.
We will never forget your kindness.
