Tom Nations of Aransas Pass, Texas, passed away April 14, 2017 peacefully at his home with friends and family at his side. He was 73 years old.

Tom was born August 16, 1943, in Three Rivers, Texas, and raised in Aransas Pass. He served briefly in the USAF and worked most of his life as a welder and pipe fitter. After retirement, he spent much of his time painting, sculpting, listening to his jukebox, and in his words: being a big ol' handsome brute.

Tom was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frank Nations and Tavie Scheler; his eldest son, James Wesley Nations and his brother, Frank Nations, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Peoples Nations; son, Tom Nations (HyunJoo) of Geoje, South Korea; "son," Josh Suchetski of San Antonio; "daughter," Sara DeLozier (Jon) of Long Beach, Mississippi; brother, Donald Ray Nations of Aransas Pass and many nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout the state of Texas.

A memorial service to celebrate the life and times of Tom Nations will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home.
