James Lanfair

James William Lanfair, 79, of Rockport, passed away on October 15, 2023.

He was born in Corpus Christi on July 31, 1944. James graduated from Aransas County High school in 1962. He received his sharpshooter certificate from the US Army while serving in Germany in 1963.

James married Karen Arthur on February 1, 2005.

James worked for the US Post Office in Rockport for 35 years. He had a passion for photography and travel.

James is survived by his wife Karen, his daughter Lynae Lanfair and her partner Johnny Mauricio; stepson Tommy Ramzinski and his wife Lauren; stepdaughter Brandi Deckard and her husband Bruce; and stepson Loyd Bryan Thwing; two grandchildren Madison and Zoe James Mauricio; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Jack Lanfair and his wife Susan.

He is preceded in death by his parents Birl and Lillie Lanfair.
