James Griffith, a beloved father, loving husband, devoted brother, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on December 15, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 67. Born on July 16, 1957, in Grand Junction, Colorado, he brought joy and laughter to those around him from the very start.
James was the kind of husband all should aspire to be; his love for his wife, Donna, was evident at every moment they shared. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home. James was a proud father and is survived by his children: Charity (Stacy) and James (Maria), who carry on his legacy of kindness, laughter, and understanding. He reveled in his role as a grandfather to Lucas, Jesse, Raven, Jacob, and Rylee, each of whom he adored and influenced deeply with his wisdom and humor.
James was born to James (Donna) and Dixie, and he is preceded in death by his beloved parents and siblings—brother, Donald and sister, Melody—who wait for him in eternal peace. He is also survived by a strong and resilient family, including his siblings: Jeannie (Bruce), Gale (Dave), Rick (Beverley), Robert (Sandy), Kelly (Angie), Victor (Nancy), and Shannon (Ron). James was also very close to his uncle Lynn and his wife Katrina, whose bond with him was a source of strength throughout his life.
An enthusiastic lover of golf, music, and friendship, James brightened the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He played golf with passion and found joy on the course, creating lasting memories with friends as they shared not only fairways but their stories and dreams. James enjoyed a successful career in the oil and gas industry, carving out a lasting impression on those whom he interacted with daily.
As we remember James, we honor his character, joyful spirit, and the unconditional love he bestowed upon his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, laughter, and a reminder to appreciate the small moments.
His absence will be felt deeply, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. May James Griffith forever inspire us to cherish our loved ones, enjoy life to the fullest, and hold tight to the memories we create along the way.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor James’s memory consider a donation to a charity of your choice, reflecting his caring nature and commitment to lifting others.
