James "Big Tatua" Folsom

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Edgar Folsom, also known as Big Tatua, on March 24, 2024, in Rockport, TX. Born on July 14, 1970, in Kansas City, he was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

James found joy and passion in his work as the owner and talented artist at Electric Sunset Tattoo Shop in Rockport. His artistic skills and creativity brought smiles to countless faces throughout the community. A former member of the Gypsy Rockport MC, James formed strong bonds that lasted a lifetime.

Beyond his work, James lived a life full of diverse interests. An enthusiast of music, gaming, fishing, grilling, and spending quality time with family and friends, he was always appreciated for his zest for life.

James is preceded in death by his dad, Mike McHenry.

He is survived by his former spouse, and friend, Heather Folsom, his daughters Shelby, Samantha, and Stephanie, adopted son Tommy McMillan Jr. and his grandchildren, Leon and Zelda Hernandez. James will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his mother, Barbara McHenry, his sister, Jennifer McHenry, and a multitude of friends and extended family.

Though he may have left this world, the legacy of James Edgar Folsom will live on in the hearts and memories of all those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, forever tattooed on our hearts.
