James Alfred Courtney

James Alfred Courtney, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Rockport, TX. Mr. Courtney was born on July 12, 1938 in Stamford, TX to Byron C. Courtney and Martha Dessie O'Pry.

Mr. Courtney was a Veteran of the United States Army who proudly served during the Korean War. He was a wonderful husband and an amazing father. He will be missed and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Jean Courtney; his parents, Byron C. and Martha D. Courtney; one sister, Carol Praytor and one brother, David J. Courtney.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol K. Courtney; two daughters, Linda (Joe) Bell and Jamie (Steve) Lewis and one step-daughter, Tracy (Vic) Gregg; one step-son, Terrance (Charing) O'shea; one brother, Jerry (Kay) Courtney; eleven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date to be decided by the family. We will updated this information accordingly.
