Irma Perales

Our sister in Christ, Irma L. Perales, was called to join our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, October 30, 2020. Irma was born on June 8, 1950, and lived a loving and faith-filled life in Gregory, Texas. She was born to Maria Eva and Manuel Lozano and grew up in a loving home with her sister Anna Lozano; and brothers Modesto, Juan Manuel (Rosa) and Ruben Lozano .

On November 21, 1970, Irma joined Estanislao “Tanis” Perales in Holy Matrimony. Soon after, their love for each other created a family of six children Sergio (Laura) Perales, Monica Martinez (Jesse Hinojosa), Anna (Julian) Jimenez, Jennifer Perales (Glenn Peterson), Estanislao “Cristian” Perales (Christina Garza), and Gloria (Abel) Solis. During her life, our humble mother always put her family first as she offered us unending love, kindness, support, motivation and a path of faith to love and serve our Lord. She and her husband Tanis spent every moment together caring for the family. They loved and served each other for almost 50 years. Mom and Dad’s love for each other was never more evident than when they supported and loved each other through the health challenges in their lives. We will be forever grateful for being witness to Mom’s endearing love and service towards her family.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Modesto. She is survived by her loving husband Tanis Perales, her six children and their spouses, six grandsons with one more on his way, seven granddaughters, a sister, two brothers and countless extended family. Our family would like to extend our heart-felt gratitude to our neighbors, community and friends for their showing of love and sympathy during this difficult time. Visitation is Monday 11/9/20 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m at Charlie Marshall funeral home. A mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Gregory, Texas with interment to follow at Corpus Christi Veteran’s Memorial at 1:00 p.m.
