Ida Tillison

Ida Howell Tillison, born August 31, 1955, passed away on May 7, 2018 in her own home surrounded by her family following a three year battle with cancer.

She lived most of her life in Aransas Pass, Texas. Over the years Ida worked for LWR and Coastal Bend Hospital but is best known as a cashier at H.E.B. in Aransas Pass, where she greeted everyone with a huge smile, a genuine hello, and a warm hug. She taught us all that hard work, hospitality, family, and faith lead to a fulfilling life. Ida was happiest when surrounded by friends and family, especially babies and children, all of whom called her Aunt Ida. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, fishing, and swimming. Her absence will be felt immensely by her family, numerous friends, and the entire Aransas Pass community.

Ida is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Louise Farr Howell and her father, John R. Howell, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Tillison, daughter Linda Kennedy (Shane) of Fort Worth, son Billy Tillison of Mesquite, Grandchildren Shane and Savannah Kennedy of Fort Worth, brother Lonnie Howell (Lynn) of Aransas Pass, sister Linda Denison (Donald) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, nieces Shelly Galban (Carlos) of Miami, Sommer Howell of San Antonio, and Tyrel Denison (Sarah) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sisters-in-law Rhonda Bills (Jon), Doris Clancy, Jeanette Ward (William) of Aransas Pass and their children and grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 4:00p.m and conclude at 9:00p.m on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home of Aransas Pass, TX.

Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Aransas Pass, TX, located at 627 S Houston St.

Christian burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, TX.
