Hughes Phillips

Hughes Hunter Phillips, 80, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2020. He was born July 14, 1939 to parents Dorothy and Leslie Phillips in Luling, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leslie Cornelius Phillips and Dorothy Emma Farr; and sister Patsy Cowan.

Left to cherish his memories are, his wife of over 61 years, Betty Phillips; son, Stephen Mark Phillips, Jimmy Ray Phillips(girlfriend Amelia Owens); daughter, Terri(Charles) Snellgrove; Seven grandchildren, Brandon(Jessica) Patton, Bryan(Jody) Patton, Jennifer(Roel Garza) Phillips, Jimmy R. Phillips Jr., Kelley R. Phillips, Gene Phillips; Traci(Oso) Martinez; Six great-grandchildren, Luke Hill, Eli Garza, Bailey Patton, Taylor Patton, Hunter Patton and Blake Shedden; brother, Leslie(Pat) Phillips; sister, Sandra(J) Stephens; brother-in-law, Lewis Cowan.

Hughes will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 11am – 1pm. Funeral service will begin at 1pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas, with graveside to follow at Palms Memorial Cemetery in Portland, Texas.
