Herlinda H. Zavala

Herlinda H. Zavala of Rockport, Texas passed away at the age of 91.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Juan C. Zavala, parents Victor and Katarina M. Hernandez, siblings Julia, Bernabe and Miguel Hernandez, grandson Erick Montemayor and great granddaughter Adalae Montemayor.

She is survived by her daughter Julie Cisneros, sons Ben Montemayor, Hector Montemayor, Rudy Zavala and Johnny Zavala. 14 grandchildren Benji, Marty, Adam, Crystal, Brandon, Andrew, Rachele, Zachary, Lydia, Jeremy, Anthony, Kelly, Hector Jr (Bear), and Savena. 23 great grandchildren Ashley, Mackenzie, Aubrey, Katarina, Caden, Addison, Hunter, Alizabeth, Zander, Jonathan, Krystal, Alex, Isaac, Anthony Jr, Bubba, Jayden, Jeremiah, Monique, Christian, Juliet, Luke, Lyla, and Dallas. 1 great great grandchild Aiden.

She was a loving mother and homemaker. A lifetime devoted Catholic, who loved attending church. She enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, especially on the holidays. She enjoyed attending sports activities to support her children and grandchildren and the Rockport-Fulton Pirates. She was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. As a single mother of three, she worked in the cotton fields in Gregory, Texas. While living in the Terre Belle Farm she met her husband Juan, married and moved to Rockport in 1968, where she fulfilled her life.
