Harriet Ann  Moore

Our lovely mother Harriett Ann Hahn Moore died in Rockport Tx, on December 23, 2023. She was born to Harold Arthur Hahn and Anna E Baar Hahn on September 2nd,1939 in New York City, NY. She attended New York University.

She had a love for literature and was a talented writer. Harriet was the author of the 1976 book "The Plantain Season". * She was an award-winning newspaper columnist, journalist and deputy features editor.

In retirement Harriet and her husband Huck Moore RV'd throughout the US before settling in Rockport. In Rockport she enjoyed gardening, trips to the beach, boat outings, visits from friends and family, and keeping her simple beach cottage. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Harriet was preceded in death by her sister Mary (John)Banks, and brothers Edward and Richard Hahn. Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Belinda Disilvio, Julia (Robert) Livio, Gina (Mitch)Livio-Sturde, and Veronica Hahn Smith, four grandsons: Jack and James Disilvio and Alex and Jake Sturde and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our family is grateful for the support of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church community, Gulf Pointe Plaza, and Harbor Hospice.
