Our loving father, grandpa and friend Gunter "Joe" Josef Broich, 78, passed away at his home in Rockport, TX surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Gunter was born in Bad Homburg, Germany and moved to the USA when he was 15. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1958 and was proud to serve his country.

Gunter was preceded in death by his wife Lynn, and son Gunter James Broich.

Left to cherish his memory are his three loving children; two sons, Edward Joseph Broich and Leslie Ray (Elsa) Broich; one daughter, Gloria Christine Broich-Alejos; ten grandchildren: Jennifer Broich-Smith, Edward J. Broich Jr., Brickell Esparza, Sarah Martinez, Leslie R. Broich Jr. Gunter J. Broich Jr., John Alejos, Jacob Broich, Harley Broich, and Carlos Valdez; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, Niece Connie (Jim) Meckley, his best friends Jess and Susan Opulencia and many loving friends.

He will be greatly missed by all family, friends and all who knew him.

A memorial service with full Military Honors will be held at 12:00 p.m on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the American Legion Hall of Rockport, TX, located at 1701 S Church St, Rockport, TX 78382.
