Graciela  Garza

October 27, 1938 — July 24, 2023

Graciela Alvarez Garza joined her loved ones in Heaven on July 24, 2023. Born October 27, 1938, to Joaquin and Baudelia Alvarez.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, brother, Armando Alvarez and sister, Gloria Saenz.

She is survived by her loving brother, Leonel (Irene) Alvarez. Grace was married for nearly 65 years to and also survived by the love of her life, Narciso V. Garza. They were blessed with their children, Rolando (Brandi) Garza, Yolanda (Greg) Rangel, Orlando (Shannon) Garza, as well as their grandchildren, Miranda (Ernesto) Mora, Joshua (JoAnn) Garza, Hillary Garza, Kristin (Dan) Koenig, Jordon Garza, Ryan (Angela) Rangel, and Jeremy Garza. Their extra special blessings came in the form of great-grandchildren, Samuel Garza, Gabriel Garza, Abigail Garza, Noah Mora, and Mayella Rangel. Grace also had many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews who loved her and enjoyed spending time with her.

Grace was a proud member of the Corpus Christi Cathedral Choir for 25 years with perfect attendance. She was passionate about music and one of her favorite past times was practicing for Sunday mornings and the annual Christmas Concert. Her heart's desire was to lift a joyful song unto the Lord and now she will be before His throne for eternity, doing just that.

Grace and Narciso loved to go on road trips with their children and over the years saw many beautiful places together, such as the Smokey Mountains, Niagara Falls, The Rocky Mountains and many places in between. Building a life full of fun memories for all of us. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs, Grace always looked forward to football and basketball season, never missing a televised game.

In leaving this world for her home in Heaven, Grace has left our family with so many sweet and funny memories. Her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and radiant smile will forever be etched in our hearts, reminding us to cherish one another and embrace life's precious moments.
