Gilbert Sandoval Lopez, 84, passed away on July 22, 2019, in Rockport, Texas. Gilbert was born on February 3, 1935, to parents Marcelino and Paulina Lopez in Bayside, Texas.

He is preceded in death by parents, Marcelino and Paulina Lopez; siblings, Francisca Lopez, Carlos Lopez, and Elisa Lopez.

Survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Nasaria Herrera Lopez; son, Gilbert Lopez, Jr.; daughters, Olivia Lopez, Carolina Bowen (Paul), Pauline Roman (Juan), Gloria Gonzalez (Lee), and Graciela Van Scoder (Rob); siblings, Jacinto S. Lopez (Ruby), Vita Lopez de Sanchez (Cande), Victoria Martinez (Rosendo), and Maria Duran (Alberto); eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home located in Rockport. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home located at 814 E. Main St. in Rockport, Texas.
