Aransas Pass

On February 28th at 11:02 a.m. Gertrude “Trudy” Irene L. Wilson’s family lovingly witnessed the completion of her earthly journey as she was reunited with her Lord and Savior in perfect healing.

“Trudy” was born in Washington, D.C. under the Holy Union of Paul Wesley Ligon Sr. and Susan Mamie Ligon (Howard), who both preceded her in death.

Trudy was blessed by sharing a life, in Nashville TN, with four loving siblings, three of which proceeded her in death: William Lee Ligon; Gaynell Cart and Paul Wesley Ligon Jr. She is survived by her devoted sibling, Sister Joan Marie, O.P. of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in Nashville TN.

In 1966, Trudy met the “Love of her life”, George “David” Wilson Sr. and in loving partnership have the following children: The first child, whom proceeded her in death, George David Wilson Jr.; her surviving children are Johnny Paul (Betty) Wilson; Jimmy Clayton (Melissa) Wilson; Joan Marie Wilson (David N. Fischer) and Maria (Clayton) Boone; all currently residing in the Rockport Texas area.

Trudy continues to watch over 12 grandchildren: John Christopher Wilson; Brittney (Charles) Crouch; Michael Hanline; Michaela Anderson; Madison (Will) Murtha; Aric Anderson; James David Wilson; Sheradon Kate Olden; Matthew Alexander Olden; David Zander Wilson; Conner Boone; Charlotte Boone and an additional 13 great grandchildren.

Trudy retired from H.E.B. with over 20 years of loyal partner service. Her greatest passions in life were time spent with family and friends, music (especially around a campfire), dining out, an occasional slot machine, Bunco, H.E.B. Retirement Luncheons and all things nature. Most importantly, Trudy had a passion for life and spreading love and joy to all who were privileged to cross her path in this earthly journey.

In loving memory, your light shines on.

A private family gathering will be held at Granny's home following the service.
