Georgia Fay Townsend

Georgia Fay Townsend, 82, of Corpus Christ, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. She was born in Cuero, Texas, on December 14, 1940. Georgia was a longtime resident of Rockport and Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Aransas County High School and went on to attend Del Mar College.  

She is preceded in death by her, parents; brother, James; sister, Lou; her in-laws. 

Georgia married her husband Clyde Jerrell Townsend, of 63 years on August 25, 1960. She was a retired Librarian for Del Mar College. Georgia had a passion for her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Clyde Townsend; son, Clyde Jay Townsend; daughter, Kimberli (Rick) Brandt; three grandchildren, Justin (Amy), Jake (Samantha), and Jared; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Mosier and Janice Murph.  

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rockport Cemetery.
