Gary Wayne Harris Sr.

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gary Wayne Harris Sr. of Aransas Pass, TX. on December 18, 2024, at the age of 83. 

Gary Wayne Harris Sr. was born in Beeville, TX. on August 1, 1941.He was raised up in Sinton, TX. and retired with Centerpoint Energy after 42 years of service.He coached little league in Rosenberg and Mathis, TX. for several years. He loved traveling, cooking, and watching game shows. Specifically, the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. He had a passion for playing and watching golf as well as spending time with his family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; Laquay Augustus Harris (Buster), Dorothy Elizabeth Phillips Harris, and Brother Terry Harris. who passed at birth.

Gary will be remembered by his loving wife of 31 years, Lydia F. Harris.His previous wife Margaret Knox Harris, mother of his children.Gary Wayne Harris Jr. (Paula) of Aransas Pass, TX. and Karen Garcia (Robert) of Gregory, TX.His Sister, Linda Yeats of Seguin, TX. His grandchildren, Brittney Harris, Allyson and Ashley Garcia; A special Aunt-In-Law Isabel Logan; as well as numerous family and friends.  

The Pallbearers will be Charles Ring, Brian Ring, Bobby Ring, Roland Zapata, Eloy Garcia and Jose Fernandez.

Honorary Pallbearers are Eladio Silva and Robert Garcia. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Associations. 

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26th, 2024, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26th, 2024, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Interment to follow at Aransas Memorial Park Cemetery.
