It is with deep sadness and much love that the family mourns the passing of Frederick Harold Olson, who passed peacefully in his sleep on February 10, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on December 19, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA. Fred was the son of Fred and Joan Olson. He grew up much of his life as an Army Brat. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University in May 1976 and earned a Master of Criminal Justice from the University of Central Texas in May 1999. Fred served his country for 29 years in the United States Army, retiring May 2001. He went on to have a career with the State of Texas for 16 years, retiring in September 2017.
Fred's final retirement was Rockport, TX, where he enjoyed fishing and being with friends and family. Fred was a thoughtful giving friend and father, who was famous for his salsa and spaghetti sauce. Fred's constant companion and partner in crime was his beloved dachshund, Trooper, a favorite among his friends and family.
