Eulojio “Loy” Silvas Avila, 78, passed away, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in a local hospital.
Loy was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Gregory, Tx., where he enjoyed singing in the choir from the age of 16.
Loy retired from Central Power and Light company after 30 plus years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Julia Avila; siblings, Maria Salinas; Maria De Jesus Flores; Julita Avila and Juan Avila Jr.
He is survived by his remaining siblings, Reyna Hernandez; Aurora Flores; Esiquiel Avila and Odilia Rosales.
Loy leaves behind a loving wife of 58 years, Paula Avila; four daughters, Bernice (Tony) Sanchez; Julia (Norberto) Rodriguez; Kathy (Terry) Smith and Amy (Sergio) Vera; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 ~ 9 p.m., Friday, December 11th, with the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.
Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 12th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gregory, Tx., burial to follow at Gregory Cemetery.
