Esther A. Mendoza

Esther A. Mendoza,81, of Ingleside, Tx, peacefully passed away on September 4, 2024. She was born in Falfurrias, Texas on January 6 ,1943 to Ramon and Maria Arredondo.

Esther graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School.

Esther is the first of four daughters born to Ramon Arredondo and Maria Villarreal of La Copita. Texas. She was followed in birth by sisters Lydia, Rachel, and Antonia Arredondo.

In early years worked for US Border Patrol, MCAllen, Texas as Clerical Support for the Agents. On occasion performed Under Cover work, which she loved to talk about. She retired from the US Immigration and Naturalization Service in Oklahoma City, OK, and relocated to San Antonio, Texas with her husband Alex. In 2009 they relocated to Ingleside, Texas where they have resided to the present date.

Esther is preceded in death by her father, Ramon Arredondo, mother Maria V. Cortez, and youngest sister Antonia (Toni) Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband Alex Mendoza; grandchildren, Domenic Plata, Natalie Plata, Madison Plata, Marcia Plata, Zoe Plata, Esmeralda Mendoza, Jovani Mendoza, Jacel Mendoza; sisters Lydia A. Rodriquez (Enrique), Ingleside, Texas Rachel Bonning (Chuck), Big Rapids, Michigan; nieces and nephews Joe Rodriguez, Oakland, Ca, Stephanie Janetakos, Wash DC, Athena Goldapp (Travis), Corpus Christi, Texas, Rick Rodriguez (Iris), San Benito, Texas, Bill Bonning (Rachel), Goshen, Indiana, Zoe-Mia Szcyubialka; grandnephews and grandnieces, Ethan Austin Hunt, Cecilia Erin Bonning, Bethany Grace Goldapp, Wynn Michael Bonning, Maria Bonning, Sophia Marie Rodriguez, Lucas Gabriel Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez, Jr.; sister in law and husband Margaret and Joe Szcyubialka from San Antonio, Tx
