Esmerlinda Kimbrell, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Ingleside, TX, surrounded by her loving family. Esmerlinda was born on January 13, 1928, in Matagorda, TX, to Severo Olivarez and Beatrice Ramos.

Esmerlinda was a happy soul who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Volunteering was one of her greatest passions, participating or leading in charitable, non-profit events around the area. Dancing was one of her favorite interests and pastimes. She was a member of and served as an axillary in the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 6386 of Ingleside, TX, She will be loved and missed dearly. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Acie Jarritt Kimbrell; parents, Severo Olivarez and Beatrice Olivarez; two sons, Tomas Rivera and Frederic Acie Kimbrell.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marta (Adie(+)) Adams and Patricia (William) Ansley; three sons, Juan (Viola) Rivera, Sam (Lynda) Kimbrell and Melvin Kimbrell; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall Post 6386 located at 1452 State Hwy 361, Ingleside, TX 78362.
