Erica Sheffield

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Erica Joy Sheffield of Ingleside, Texas on September 5, 2024. Born on January 23, 1979, in Springfield, Illinois, Erica was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and educator. Throughout her life, Erica touched the hearts of many with her infectious joy and unwavering love. She was a proud graduate of Ingleside High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from WGU.

 Her marriage to the love of her life, John Andrew Sheffield, on May 31, 1997, was a symbol of their enduring love and commitment. A dedicated employee of AC Blunt Middle School in the Aransas Pass School District, Erica poured her heart into shaping the minds of young students. Her passion for baseball and devotion to her family were unmatched, exemplified by her love for her children: Andrew (Atlas), Eric (Shannon), and Deacon Sheffield. Though she faced hardships with the loss of her daughter, Kaleigh Paige, and younger brother, Brent Ralston, Erica's unwavering spirit continued to shine through.

 She leaves behind her loving husband, John Andrew Sheffield; cherished brother, Colt Ralston; adoring grandchildren: Elias, Nolan, and Charlie Sheffield; with another grandchild on the way.

 As we prepare to honor Erica's remarkable life, we invite friends, family, and loved ones to join us in celebrating her memory at the Visitation, which will be held 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, located in Aransas Pass. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, TX.
