Edward Wildman Jr.

Edward “Lynn” Wildman, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, after a brief battle with heart failure. He was 81.

Lynn was born on September 21, 1939, in Victoria, Texas. He graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas, and later graduated from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas where he met the love of his life, Pam.

After college, Lynn spent 34 years with the Balfour Company in Houston, Texas. With his dynamic personality, infectious smile, and his tenacity, he helped build an empire he was blessed to acquire. He had the utmost respect from all of his employees as he respected them in return.

Lynn retired in 1994 and he and his wife, Pam, made their weekend home in Rockport, Texas their permanent residence. From this point forward, Lynn was able to turn his weekend hobbies into a full-time passion. He was an avid golfer with a total of eight hole-in-ones. His reputation preceded him with his knowledge and ability to fish.

Lynn loved his family very much and was happiest when he was with them all. He laid a foundation for his children to build on and they have, in turn, passed this on to his grandchildren. He was so proud of his family and his grandchildren dearly loved their “PaPaw”. Lynn had a way of always making people feel good. He invited people into his life with kindness. He was surrounded by countless friends and cherished the time he was able to spend with them. He knew how to live and often quoted, “I have lived a good life”.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lynn Wildman, Sr., his mother, Laura Mae Wildman, and his wife of forty years, Pamela D. Wildman. He is survived by his sister, Betty Braswell (Kerrville, Texas), his daughter, Gaye Lynn (Jim) Failla (Missouri City, Texas), his sons Greg (Tammy) Wildman (Richmond, Texas), and Chris (Kristine) Wildman (Corpus Christi, Texas) and his grandchildren, Anthony Failla, Kyle Wildman, Kristina Failla, Blake Wildman, Garrett Wildman, and Cooper Wildman. He is also survived by his nephew, Sam Braswell and nieces, Carol Bernhard and Robin Perrin.

Lynn was blessed to not only love and be loved by our mother and “DeeDee”, he was also blessed to have Patty Nicholson, who preceded him in death, in his life. He is also survived by Betty Lamb who he shared so much love with. Our family will be forever grateful for the love and compassion Betty gave to our father and “PaPaw”.

The funeral service will be at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, 814 E. Main Street, Rockport, Texas, on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 2:00 pm.
