Edward H. Morris, M.D., age 84, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 28, 1933. He graduated from North High, Akron University and Western Reserve Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio.

After his medical internship, he spent two years in the air force as a flight surgeon. On leave from the base in San Antonio he was able to fish the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and decided then that Texas would be his home. His love and passion for fishing began at the age of 13 and lasted his entire life. He moved to Houston with his first wife and family and began his medical practice there primarily to be close to Galveston Bay and all the fishing that the area provided. After the death of his first wife he met his current wife, Monica and they continued fishing throughout the United States, Canada and many countries in Central America.

He was predeceased by his parents, Hoy and Flora Morris and by his first wife, Josephine Defiore Morris. He is survived by his devoted wife Monica and his son Kevin and daughter-in-law Tina Morris of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by his grandsons, Anthony (Isa) Morris , Bradley(Lindsey) Morris and granddaughter, Lauren Morris, and great-grandson Jack, all from Houston, Texas. He is survived by his step-daughter, Alyssa (Steve ) Moss , step-grandchildren, Logan and Kiernan Moss of Mooresville, N.C.

He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rockport, Texas. A celebration of Life will be held at 802 Wharf St. Rockport, Texas, the temporary church building of Holy Cross Lutheran Church on October 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, CCA or the charity of your choice.
