Edgar Westmoreland

Edgar Thomas "Wes" Westmoreland Jr., 80, passed away at his home in Ingleside, Texas on March 30, 2017. He was born on May 14, 1936 in Casa Grande, Arizona to Edgar Thomas Sr. and Belva May Westmoreland. Wes is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Jane Westmoreland; daughter, Janie Sanders and sister, Peggy Alexander. He is survived by his sons, Edgar Thomas Westmoreland III, James A. Westmoreland (Martha) and David B. Westmoreland (Kayla); daughters, Paula W. Hill and her late husband Andy, Donna C. Barrett, Cathy Dean Prince, Susan Lovato (Steve) and Belinda Ruth Westmoreland; seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many dear friends.

Edgar served in the United States Navy for 30 year and was a proud patriot. He enjoyed writing about his time in the military with his comrades in Vietnam. He loved attending church at First Assembly of God in Ingleside every Sunday.

A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Port Aransas on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:30 am. A Burial at Sea with the immediate family will follow immediately after services.
