Dorothy Evelyn Wilson
Dorothy Evelyn Wilson passed away November 3, 2024 at the age of 96.
Dorothy was born on November 8, 1927 to Ernest and Elsie Wise in Robstown, Texas where she lived until starting school in Austwell, Texas, graduating in 1945.
In 1948 she married Kenneth Wilson in Robstown, Texas. They moved to Ingleside, Texas in 1953, where Kenneth worked at Reynolds Metals.
Dorothy was a devoted Christian and member of the First Baptist Church in Ingleside. Dorothy’s love and devotion was to her faith and family. Her husband Kenneth and their four children, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. After working for the telephone company in Robstown, Texas she chose to be a stay-at-home mom and help her husband raise their four children. Upon the death of her oldest daughter Wanda and her husband Stanley Reigle, she and Kenneth made a home for their two surviving grandchildren, Jeffery and Jenny.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents Ernest and Elsie Wise, her daughter Wanda (Stanley) Reigle, brothers, Eugene Wise, John B. Wise, killed in World War II, Roy (Edith) Wise, Harvey (Willodine) Wise, Clyde (Levy) Wise, sisters Merle (Bill) Putman, Jean (Frank) Parker and sister-in-law Carolyn Wise.
She is survived by her brother Glenn Wise, her three children, Les D. (Laurie) Wilson, Peggy (Glenn) Benton and Betty (David) Morales, eight grandchildren Jeffery Reigle, Jennifer Reigle, Steven (Hannah) Benton, Jonathan (Carly) Benton, Michael (Aline) Benton, Gregory (Andie) Morales, Brian (Briana) Morales, Elizabeth (Rick) Pimentel and ten great grandchildren, Braxden Benton, Angela Renee Reigle, Sage Benton, Slayton Benton, Greyson Morales, Riley Morales, Joseph Benton, Samuel Benton, Olivia Pimentel and Landon Benton.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice and The Viera for each act of love, care and kindness shown to Dorothy and the family during this season of her life.
Visitation will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas on Saturday November 9, 2024 at 9:00 am with services following at 10:00 am with a private burial at Palms Memorial Gardens in Portland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 2547 Church St, Ingleside, Texas 78362
