Doroteo Colunga

Doroteo “Ted” V. Colunga, 68, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2021, in Corpus Christi. He was born January 22, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Doroteo and Josefa Colunga, and was a Rockport resident for most of his life. He worked as a truck driver for 40 plus years.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his brother, Gilbert Colunga, Sr.; step-son, Lucas Rodriguez.

Ted was survived by his wife of 41 years, Delores Colunga; step-son, Freddie Rodriguez (Reanna) of Rockport; step-daughters, Naomi (Armando) Cantu of Rockport, and Priscilla (Edward) Salinas of Richwood; brother, David Colunga of Corpus Christi; sisters, Herlinda (Carlos) Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, and Norma Montaluo of Dallas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2021, at Temple of Praise. With a  Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Temple of Praise located at 306 S. Kossuth in Rockport. Interment will follow at Aransas Memorial Park Cemetery located on 188.
