Doris V. Lindsey, 92, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 09, 2018. Doris was born on October 19, 1926 in Trinity County, TX to Lanham Shipman and Verde Hashaw.

Doris was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed and loved dearly by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life.

Lindsey was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years of marriage, Wayne Lindsey; one granddaughter, Kim McCarver and her parents, Lanham and Verde Shipman.

She is survived by her five children, Buddy (Trish) Lindsey, Jerry Lindsey, Bonnie (Gordon) Pfersich, Lana (Michael) Bounds and Nelda Barre; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and her brother, Jim (Lori) Shipman.

Christian burial and final blessing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Rockport Cemetery in Rockport, TX.
