Donna L. Krapfel Obituary
Donna Lee Krapfel was born April 6, 1957, in Buffalo, New York. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Cecelia (Nowalk) and Richard Donald Bukowski; and maternal grandparents Thelma (Roberts) and Norris Bennett; and parents Richard Donald and Beverly Arline Butkowski.
She is survived by her husband George G. Krapfel; son, David Tracy Monte and daughter-in-law Jeana Marie Monte; daughters, Julie Ann Krapfel and son-in-law Ravi Murlidhar Tekchandani and Cindy Jean Krapfel; grandchildren, Peyton Elizabeth Monte (14), Camden Alexander Monte (13), Ashlyn Gabriella Monte (9), Waylon Everrette Monte (6) and Neil Murli Tekchandani (2) ; brother-in-law Robert E. Krapfel and sister-in-law Gabriella Belli; Co-Grandmother Sangeeta Murlidhar Tekchandani (Neeta); brother Richard Donald Butkowski Jr, sister-in-law Theresa Marie Butkowski; sisters Terry Lee Reeves, Cindy Jean Frasier, brother-in-law Rich Raymond Frasier ;along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews;
Donna earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Houston Community College as well a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Texas Woman's University. Donna was a Registered Nurse with The Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas. Donna worked for several large hospitals in Houston, Texas as a Med Surg Nurse, Hospice Nurse and finally retired as a Registered Nurse with the Texas Department of Aging Disability Services in June of 2017. Donna had a giving heart and always volunteered with many different charitable/educational organizations including the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, Cherokee Home for Children, Rockport Yacht Club, First United Methodist Church Rockport and the Children’s Coalition of Aransas County. She would never pass up an opportunity to volunteer. As a member of the Rockport community, Donna built a strong network of local friends playing Mahjongg every week, fishing with family and friends, cruising in the channels for evening sunsets with George, and decorating their condo for every holiday. Donna was caring and protective of her family and friends, always making sure everyone was fed a warm meal before serving herself. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, planning countless adventurous trips with the family to water parks, ski resorts, and beaches, filling her retirement with cherished memories.
Viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m. with services to begin at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist church of Rockport located at 801 E. Main St. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Rockport Yacht Club at 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. located at 722 Navigation Cr on Friday, October 28th, 2022.
