Donald James Adams

Donald James Adams, 84, passed on February 17, 2025 after a brief illness. Don served in the Navy during the Vietnam era and retired as a Command Master Chief. Following the Navy he worked for Unified Industries in Norfolk, Virginia and later retired in Rockport, Texas. Don served as Commander three times of Post 363 American Legion in Rockport, TX and held every office in the Post. He was also a Shriner and loved driving the children to and from the Shriner Hospitals for treatment. In his spare time he enjoyed helping others and working with local rescues to get animals to safety. Don is survived by his adoring and loving wife Debbie, sons Brian Adams and Robert Allen (Samantha) and daughter Robin Allen-Gladstone (Ron); Grandsons Hunter Adams, Colin Sykes, Brian Castillo, Zach Allen, Max Salazar, and Ryan Grover; Granddaughters Alina Sykes-Grover and Riley Allen; Great Grandsons Mathias Grover, Victor Gomez Castillo, and Marcel Allen; Great-Granddaughters Danyela Grover, Gabby Pabon (Kevin) and Valerie Allen. Don is also survived by his sister Dee Hostetler, many nieces and nephews and great-great grandchildren. Per his request there will be no funeral services.
