Delores Adella Rogowicz (nee Peterson)

It is with great sadness that the family of Delores Adella Rogowicz announces her peaceful passing on November 1, 2020, at the age of 85 years.

Delores (Dee) is survived by her children, Raymond Rogowicz (Tamara), Cindy Feris (Greg), and Cherie Word. Delores will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Chad Rogowicz (Lindsay), Lindsey Keith, Jules Word, and Adalie Feris, and by her great-grandchildren, Miriam Rogowicz, Scarlett Keith, Abigail Keith, Emory Briggs, and Jack Pierce.

Delores was preceded in death by her loving and caring husband, Eugene Rogowicz; parents, Lester Peterson (Catherine); sister, Audrey Corbett; brother, James Peterson; infant son, Eugene Rogowicz, Jr.

“Dee” was an avid lover of arts. She was an artist, pianist, singer, and seamstress; richly blessed with creative talent that shined through in many ways. She enjoyed books, music, movies and most of all she loved her family and friends. Delores had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile that would brighten your day. She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband “Gene” throughout the beautiful desert southwest. Delores was a Holiday Beach resident for over 34 years.

A Graveside viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Lamar Cemetery. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Lamar Cemtery

Those who so desire may make a memorial donation in memory of Delores for the preservation of the historical Lamar Cemetery.

Make donations payable to Lamar Cemetery Association, 222 Hagy Drive, Rockport, Texas 78382.

All donations go toward the repair and upkeep of the scared Texas ground.
