DeAnna Jean Mitchell

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of DeAnna Jean Mitchell, cherished daughter, mother, and grandmother, who left this world on April 5, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on February 19, 1961, in Aransas Pass, Texas, DeAnna was a radiant spirit who embodied compassion, nurturing not only her children but all those fortunate enough to know her.

DeAnna's love for life was unparalleled. She found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was tending to her beloved garden, delighting in a sweet candy treat, or immersing herself in the soulful melodies of Brooks and Dunn's "My Maria" and Garth Brooks' "The Dance." Her hands were tirelessly busy, skillfully crocheting gifts for family and friends and experimenting with vibrant coloring books, each stroke a testament to her creativity and love.

A devoted mother and grandmother, DeAnna leaves behind her beloved daughter, Dana Michelle Cantu and son in law Dallas, and her son Bobby "Mitch" Lee Mitchell and daughter-in-law Sarah. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Brydien and Cristoforo Cantu, as well as Jenna Mitchell and Mia Mitchell, who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and laughter.

DeAnna is preceded in death by her devoted parents, AL and Frances Brown, and her cherished brother, Bebop Brown. They welcome her with open arms as she finds peace in their eternal embrace.

DeAnna Jean Mitchell will forever remain in our hearts - a beautiful soul who taught us the values of love, compassion, and resilience. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing her spirit will continue to bloom among the flowers she so passionately cared for.
