David "Dave" Cox

Jonathan (Dave) Cox, 63, beloved Father and Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on April 12, 2020. He entered this world on October 30,1956 in Killeen, TX. He is survived by his son, Kris James of Val Verde California, Kris's wife Liza Jane, and grandson's Luke and Noah. His brother Tom Cox of Ruckersville, Va. and his sister Linda Sharolli of Alexandria, Va. He leaves behind six nephews and one niece. He is preceded by his parents Burl and Betty Cox of San Antonio, Tx. and his late brother Jim Cox of Houston, Tx. He is also remembered by his long time friends Josh and Jessica Jackson, Pat and Gypsy, John Wood and many others of Rockport, TX.

Dave served in the Navy out of Norfolk Va. for a few years. He worked on oil spill clean up efforts in the gulf. He was an avid biker. He loved his motorcycles and traveling the open road. He enjoyed fishing and boating whenever he had a chance.

Dave was a man of many talents, he was a musician playing guitar by ear. He was an artist in many mediums. Much of his art reflected the Gulf Coast of Texas. He loved green gardening and protecting the environment. He could take apart and repair any engine or computer. He was also interested in the sciences of astronomy and physics.

Dave's time on this earth was too short and will truly be missed.
