On Tuesday, January 26th 2021, David Wayne West, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, passed from this earth to the heavens to be with many other friends and relatives at the age of 66.
David “Hot Rod” West was born on November 15, 1954 in Sinton, TX to Clois Melton West and Anna Lou Keck.
He married the love of his life, Edith Campbell, October 20, 1972 and they were married for 48 years. They had two daughters, Cathy Jo and LesLee, and one son Walker.
David was a hardworking, loving person that would do anything for anyone that needed him. He loved to fish, hunt and BBQ for many years. He attended school in Ingleside where he loved to play football and baseball.
He coached girls softball when his daughters were growing up and boys baseball when his son Walker played. He then started, with his wife Edith, the Champs baseball team where their team always prevailed no matter who they played. He also enjoyed working cattle and spending time in the country with his grandchildren.
David worked long and hard for over 44 years for Hess/Williams/Magellan. Never tiring to also go and care for his family and cattle after work. He was very dedicated to his job and to anyone that needed him.
